Congrats Class Of 2024

Superintendent Galaviz Dear Canutillo Community,

As we approach the culmination of the academic year, I am filled with immense pride and joy to kick off the graduation season for the Class of 2024 here in Canutillo ISD. This is a momentous time for our district as nearly 90 students from Northwest Early College High School will walk the stage to receive their diplomas on Friday evening at the picturesque McKelligon Canyon. Shortly thereafter, we will celebrate the achievements of Canutillo High School's graduates with their commencement ceremony scheduled for May 30.

Graduations are truly my favorite time of the year. They represent the culmination of years of hard work, dedication, and perseverance by our students and teachers. There is nothing more fulfilling for an educator than witnessing our students, adorned in their caps and gowns, holding their diplomas with beaming smiles and waving to their proud families. This moment encapsulates the very essence of why we do what we do. It is the ultimate reward for the countless hours of instruction, guidance, and support provided by our outstanding educators.

The Class of 2024 holds a special place in my heart. This is the cohort that began their high school journey amidst the uncertainty and challenges posed by the pandemic. Their freshman year was spent largely at home, navigating remote learning and adapting to a new way of education. Despite these obstacles, they have shown remarkable resilience and tenacity. It is truly awe-inspiring to see how they bounced back and made the most out of their shortened time on campus. Their grit and determination are commendable, and I have no doubt that these qualities will serve them well in their future endeavors.

One of the aspects I love most about graduations is the opportunity to engage with our seniors and learn about their future plans. Whether they are headed to college, technical school, the military, or entering the workforce, the possibilities before them are endless. The future is bright for the Class of 2024, and I am confident that they will go on to achieve great things. Each of them has a unique path ahead, and I am excited to see where their journeys will take them.

To the Northwest Early College High School Class of 2024, congratulations! You have worked incredibly hard to reach this milestone, and you should be immensely proud of all that you have accomplished. Your dedication and perseverance have brought you to this point, and now it is time to embark on the next chapter of your lives. Go out into the world with confidence and make us proud!

I would also like to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude to the families, teachers, and staff who have supported our graduates throughout their educational journey. Your unwavering support and commitment have been instrumental in their success. Together, we have created a nurturing and empowering environment that has enabled our students to thrive.

As we celebrate the achievements of the Class of 2024, let us also reflect on the journey that brought us here. The past few years have been filled with unprecedented challenges, but they have also highlighted the strength and resilience of our community. We have come together, adapted, and overcome obstacles, and today we stand united in celebration of our students' success.

Graduation is not just an end, but a beginning. It is the start of a new chapter filled with endless possibilities and opportunities. To our graduates, I encourage you to embrace this new chapter with enthusiasm and determination. Continue to strive for excellence, pursue your passions, and make a positive impact on the world around you. Remember that you are always a part of the Canutillo ISD family, and we will continue to support you in all your endeavors.

In closing, congratulations once again to the Class of 2024. Your achievements are a testament to your hard work and resilience, and we are incredibly proud of each and every one of you. As you walk across the stage and into your future, carry with you the knowledge, skills, and values you have gained during your time with us. Go forth and make your mark on the world!
