Power of Every Voice

Superintendent Galaviz Dear Canutillo Community,

With early voting for the Canutillo Bond 2024 election starting on Monday, I am compelled to emphasize the importance of civic engagement and the power of every voice to make a difference.

From April 22 through April 30, community members will have the opportunity to cast their votes at two Canutillo locations: The Canutillo Nutrition Center at Gallegos Park, 7351 Bosque Rd, and the El Paso County Northwest Annex, 435 Vinton Rd. For those who work near Downtown, the El Paso County Courthouse at 500 E. San Antonio will also be open for early voting.

Voting is not merely a civic duty, it is a fundamental right and a cornerstone of our democratic principles. It is a chance for individuals to have their voices heard, to shape policies and to advocate for the issues that matter most to them. Regardless of political affiliation or personal beliefs, participation in the electoral process is essential for the vitality of our community and the preservation of our democratic ideals.

The Canutillo Bond 2024 election represents an opportunity for our community to come together and make informed decisions about the future of our district. It is imperative that every member of our community takes the time to educate themselves about the bond and its potential impact on our schools, our taxpayers and our collective future.

To access factual information about the Canutillo Bond 2024 and its implications, I encourage community members to visit the dedicated website at www.canutillo-isd.org/bond2024. This comprehensive resource provides detailed information about the bond referendum, frequently asked questions and insights into its potential impact for our district.

In addition to exercising their right to vote, community members have the opportunity to further engage with the district by volunteering to spread factual information about the bond. Those interested in volunteering are invited to join us on Saturday at 9 a.m. in the Rudy's parking lot at 6401 S. Desert. If you can’t make it on Saturday but still want to help, we are welcoming volunteers on Tuesday April 23 and April 30 to Central Office from 6 - 8 p.m. to make phone calls providing information. Together, we can work to ensure that our community is well-informed and equipped to make educated decisions about the bond election.

Furthermore, for those seeking a fun and informative way to learn more about the bond and the programs offered by our district, I invite you to join us at CISD at the Park. This exciting event will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday at Inca Dove Park, 955 Grandevole, and will feature games, booths, snacks and a jumping balloon for the entire family. It is a wonderful opportunity to engage with district representatives, explore educational opportunities and enjoy quality time with loved ones.

Let us embrace the power of civic engagement and collective action. Let us commit ourselves to fostering a community where every voice is heard, every perspective is valued and every individual is empowered to shape the future of our district.
