Garcia Elementary School hosts talent showcase to highlight after school programming
When the school bell rings, the fun begins. Last night, parents got a chance to catch a glimpse of all the engaging activities their kids are participating in when the school day ends.
The Garcia Elementary Texas Afterschool Centers on Education (ACE) program students dazzled the audience with their incredible talents in cheerleading, dance and ballet at the “Cheer up and Dance” talent showcase held at the Canutillo High School auditorium.
ACE provides no-cost activities after school and during summer for K–12 students in Title I schools. The program is federally funded through 21st Century Community Learning Centers and administered on the state level by Texas Education Agency.
The event showcased the dedication and hard work of these young performers as they took to the stage with confidence and enthusiasm. The crowd was wowed by the energetic routines and graceful movements of the students as they performed intricate choreography with precision and skill. From spirited cheerleading routines to graceful ballet performances, each act showcased the unique talents and creativity of the Garcia Elementary ACE program students.
As a special highlight of the evening, the Garcia Elementary Folklorico team delivered a mesmerizing performance, showcasing the rich cultural heritage and vibrant traditions of their community. With colorful costumes and dynamic choreography, the Folklorico team transported the audience to another world, leaving them in awe of their talent and artistry.
