The collaboration between the Northwest Early College High School student organization the Northwest Chicks, Jose Damian Elementary, Reyes Elementary, Canutillo Elementary School and Garcia Elementary raised donations of items to assemble over 50 Hope Kits filled with thoughtful items that patients find comforting and encouraging while undergoing breast cancer treatment.

The Northwest Chicks teamed up with the Stand with Estela Casas Cancer Foundation to deliver the kits to the Texas Oncology El Paso Cancer Treatment Center.

“The Northwest Chicks together with our elementary school partners collected items for the Hope Kits throughout the month of October in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. They now have the opportunity to kick off the season of giving by showing support and love to those facing a very difficult time in their lives, said Camila Zeh, Northwest Chicks sponsor.

“Our hope is that the message of hope and encouragement that comes with each Hope Kit brings them comfort and strength as they fight this battle. We thank our students, their families and our community for their donations that helped make this worthy collaboration happen.”
