Canutillo ISD is ready to proceed with the vision of its constituents to usher in a new era for the District.
The Board of Trustees recently adopted a new mission, vision and core beliefs as prescribed by the joint efforts of District leaders, staff, parents, students and members of the Canutillo community who worked to develop the District’s five-year strategic plan.
"The new belief statements approved by the Board are a culmination of hours of input and collaboration from a diverse group of Canutillo stakeholders," said Superintendent Dr. Pedro Galaviz. "These statements better reflect the direction of the District as well as our hopes and dreams for the students of Canutillo."
The new mission statement, “We provide equitable opportunities to ensure our future-ready
students are empowered to explore, learn, grow, and excel,” encompasses the shared priorities of the Canutillo ISD community by focusing on equity and preparing students for lifelong success through access to an array of opportunities.
“Lead today. Impact tomorrow,” is the latest adopted vision statement highlighting the impact Canutillo ISD alumni will make on the world when given the opportunity to hone their leadership skills as students.
The core beliefs are student centric with the common themes of unity and engagement among all District stakeholders while the District goals focus on student mastery of core subjects and college readiness.
