This is the image for the news article titled Pick up & drop off plan for Canutillo High School students will help boost safety and accessibilityDrivers can expect a surge in traffic surrounding Canutillo High School when the new school year begins on Monday, July 31.

With the ongoing expansion projects of Interstate 10 and North and South Dessert access roads, drivers will have to navigate through a heavier-than-usual traffic situation along with detours and road closures.

In an effort to ensure safe pick ups and drop offs of our Canutillo High School students, a plan has been put in place for parents and students to follow both before school and after school when entering and exiting the Canutillo High School campus.

“We have been preparing a plan for the upcoming school year that will make picking up and dropping off students safe despite the construction and traffic of the surrounding area,” said Canutillo ISD Chief of Police Jose Kluge. “We ask that parents and students follow the plan before and after school to ease safety concerns and traffic delays.”

The plan will be in place on Monday, July 31 and the full plan along with a map and drop off and pick up locations is available on the Canutillo High School website under Parents and Pick up and drop of plan or by clicking here.

Let’s get the new year started safely for our students. See you Monday!
