The future of technology looked bright as students throughout the District came together to explore the world of STEM and robotics at the Robotics Fair hosted by Canutillo Middle School STEAM Academy.
The road to compete was filled with a lot of nuts and bolts and some serious brain power but students from various campuses were up for the challenge and had a lot of fun in the process.
“Events like the Robotics Fair are always great to build excitement about STEM related subjects,” said Superintendent Dr. Pedro Galaviz.” Not only are they very educational but they also show students that they are capable of completing complex tasks and that these subjects can be creative and fun. I congratulate all our participants for their innovation to bring their projects to life.”
Judges assessed each project to evaluate the design process, programming and workability of the robots. In addition to honing their engineering, math and science skills, students also got the chance to work on their collaboration and team building abilities as they worked collaboratively to build their projects.
