Canutillo ISD Welcomes New District Testing, Research, & Accountability Administrator
The Canutillo Independent School District welcomed a new member to the Instructional Technology Department. Jessica Harrison was recently named District Testing, Research, and Accountability Administrator.
District and campus needs are regularly assessed in an effort to evaluate program effectiveness and support opportunities for student success. Harrison will support the educational process by providing consistent and reliable support, timely training, extensive data driven research and insightful accountability to all district and campus leaders in regard to assessments and assessment data to help guide academic instruction, and ensure state and federal compliance.
Upon moving to Texas from Arizona, Harrison started her career at CISD in 2008 bringing 18 years of education experience. With the district she has served as a special education teacher, campus instructional coach, and most recently dean of students at Northwest Early College High School.
Harrison graduated summa cum laude in 2002 with a bachelor's of science degree in elementary and special education with a minor in bilingual education from Northern Arizona University. She holds dual master’s degrees in secondary education with a concentration in teaching literature from the University of Phoenix and in educational administration from The University of Texas at El Paso.
“I look forward to working collaboratively with campus leaders to help them work with their data, make predictions, and brainstorm on ways to reach improvement goals,” said Harrison. “This role is very different from what I have done in the past, but my experience gives me a very unique perspective; one that I hope will help support our entire district as we move above and beyond. I am a month into this new position and absolutely love it.”
