Students throughout the District are learning about what is hot in science, technology, engineering and math by taking part in the District’s STEM camps. The camps started this week and will last two weeks.

Students are given the chance to apply real-world STEM concepts as they take part in a variety of projects and activities to prepare them for middle school and beyond.

Throughout the camp, students will tackle experiments involving the properties of matter and electricity as well as coding and robotics.

“Our summer STEM camps are a great way to keep our kids engaged and learning in a fun way during the break,” said Superintendent Dr. Pedro Galaviz. “They are learning important concepts and skills that they can apply throughout the rest of their academic career but also create an interest in STEM that could guide their path towards these high-demand careers later in life.”

The camps are part of the Canutillo ISD’s enrichment opportunities for students who wish to remain connected to learning during the long summer break.
