Martha Carrasco named President for Texas Association of School Personnel Administrators

Carrasco was nominated and elected by general membership of the TASPA Executive Board. Previously, Martha was Secretary, then Vice President.

TASPA is a professional association primarily made up of Texas public school human resources administrators and support staff.

A committee member for the past 7 years, as President, Carrasco will attend and facilitate all board meetings overseeing five committees: Legislative Committee, Nominations Committee, SBEC Committee, Scholarship Committee, Conference and Planning Committee. Carrasco will make recommendations based on feedback to provide guidance, development, and continuing education for HR administrators across Texas.

“It is an honor to be elected as President of the Texas Association of School Personnel Administrators for 2021,” Carrasco said. “I am excited to be able to serve the countless administrators and support staff so they can provide the best service to the public school human resources profession. I am deeply grateful for the support and encouragement from Canutillo ISD and my team.”

TASPA assists in providing tools, strategies and approaches necessary to effectively and efficiently support the district's HR function and operations with relevant and timely information on the trends in the public school human resources profession.
