Community Bond Accountability Committee
The district-wide committee includes district personnel,
parents, business and community members. After each bond election is approved
by voters, the Board of Trustees will pass a resolution creating the committee
for the bond program. CBAC will advise the Board in the planning and
implementation of the projects funded by a bond issue, and in evaluating the
bond program. CBAC will not exceed 14 members, will meet quarterly and report
to the Board of Trustees twice a year.

CBAC: Canutillo’s Community Comes Together to Help
Deliver Bond
Letter from Chairperson Pastor Gabriel Solis
My family and I have lived in the Canutillo Community since
1996 and care about it deeply. My
children attend schools in CISD and I am deeply interested in guaranteeing that
they have access to the best possible education. That is the reason I first joined the
Canutillo Bond Accountability Committee (CBAC) in 2011, and that is the reason
I humbly took over the rein as its chairman this year.
CBAC is a committee made up of parents, employees and
business leaders in our community who have the charge of reviewing the progress
of all Bond 2011 work on behalf of the taxpayers in the District. This is an important task, and one that the
involved, tireless members of the committee do not take lightly.
As the District has seen changes in leadership, CBAC has been
a constant force at the table, advocating for efficiency, transparency and —
above all — responsibility in the delivery of Bond 2011 projects.
I am grateful for the dedication and expertise of our
membership, which includes the following individuals: Blanca Castillo, Eileen
Macias, Julieta Melendez, Leo Cardenas, Lilia Maldonado, Monica Reyes, Penny
Ledesma, Robert Hood and Robert Sandoval.
CBAC welcomes input from the public. Or better yet, we
invite any member of the Canutillo community to join our committee and share
with us the joy of serving the children and taxpayers of this wonderful school
district. For more information please

Gabriel Solis is the chair of the Canutillo Bond Accountability
Committee, a parent in the Canutillo ISD and the pastor at Christian Family
Church in Canutillo.
